ESSAY ON: Judy Garland And Depression

Number of Pages 3

This research paper: 3 pages in length. One of the brightest stars ever to shine in Hollywood, while at the same time one of the darkest personalities ever to remain adrift in an otherwise brutal industry, Judy Garland was a victim of drug- and alcohol-induced depression. The sweetheart of stage and screen lived a tumultuous life filled with unrelenting pressures as a child of "a pushy stage mother" (Erickson, 2005) while trying to make the day-to-day realities of an unforgiving career a little easier to take by numbing her pain, an anguish she experienced throughout her entire – albeit short – life. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
