This research paper: This is a 6 page paper identifying and describing the historical significance of ten figures, events and institutions which include: Ernest Hemingway, Eleanor Roosevelt, Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King Jr., Henry Kissinger, the Freedmen’s Bureau, Plessy v. Ferguson, the American Anti-Imperialist League, the Sacco-Vanzetti Case, and Flappers. A sample of ten historical figures, cases and organizations which existed in the United States displays how history and U.S. legislation has changed drastically over the past two centuries. Legislation and racial segregation which was acceptable in the 19th century has changed drastically through a series of important social and political movements in the 20th century. Nevertheless, injustices and constant change still occurs throughout the 20th century indicating that there are still many changes still yet to come over the next several centuries in order to further civil, national and international relations.
