ESSAY ON: Summary

Number of Pages 3

This research paper: 3 pages in length. Mass media have metamorphosed from a collection of individuals focused upon accurately gathering and reporting society and the world's goings-on to a splintered faction of journalists whose only desire is to trump the next reporter by scooping the story under any incorrect and/or unethical means. This transformation has cost the once-respected journalism trade a hefty price in terms of its reputation; the public has become wary of what it reads, hears and sees with the advent of sensationalized reporting. War coverage is a particularly delicate area where a given journalist's personal agenda, sloppy fact-finding and pressure to produce routinely skew the truth. No bibliography.
