This research paper: A 10 page paper discussing the personality type indicator based on Jungian principles. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a self-reporting personality inventory and indicates the respondent's preferences on four personality type dimensions: Extroversion (E) or Introversion (I); Sensing (S) or Intuition (N); Thinking (T) or Feeling (F); and Judging (J) or Perceiving (P). It has been in use for more than 50 years, as has been the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI). The MMPI was revised in 1986 to become the MMPI-2 and is more relevant to today's experiences, but the MBTI still is seen as being the most useful of the two instruments. Bibliography lists 12 sources.
