Indeed, the extent to which long-ago computer hacker Bill Gates and his once-upon-a-time insignificant company have grown into the proverbial bottomless pit of power and greed speaks to the very essence of capitalist quest; that he and Microsoft have now reached a pinnacle of ethical business practices indicates how even in a society where such behavior is not only applauded but eagerly sought out, sometimes the envelope of acceptability gets pushed just a bit too far.
