The way in which pornography affects behavior and elicits harmful mental and/or physical responses is based most fundamentally upon the gender, age and psychological composition of the individual engaging in the activity. Consenting adults have a much different reaction - both instinctively and through social constructs - than do children who are not emotionally equipped to digest the grown-up implications.
