ESSAY ON: Types of Feminism: Liberal, Socialist, and Radical

Number of Pages 5

This research paper: This is a 5 page paper discussing liberal, socialist and radical forms of feminism, their ideologies and some first person discussion on strengths and weaknesses. There are several different defined types of feminism each with its own ideology. Often advocates for women’s rights may not in fact know what idea of feminism they represent, only that they are working towards women’s equal rights and representation in society. Rebecca West once said that “I myself have never been able to find out precisely what feminism is: I only know that people call me a feminist whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from a doormat”. In other words, whether or not feminists speak through the ideologies of liberal, socialist, radical or any of the other feminist perspectives, the important factor is that women may be allowed to speak on their own behalf and have equal representation in society; the differences in the ideologies however lay in how this equality can be accomplished. Bibliography lists 8 sources.
