This research paper: A 9 page paper. Two theories are discussed in this paper: Erik Erikson's Stages of Psychosocial Development and Lawrence Kohlberg's Stages of Moral Development. With Erikson's stages, the crisis to be resolved, the successful outcome and the virtue gained from that crisis are identified. With Kohlberg's theory, each the categories and their stages are presented. The paper also includes brief comments about why each theory was criticized. The possible need to modify the theories in view of our current population, e.g., the growing number of elderly, is mentioned. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
